Peer Nest Plagiarism Policy

The Peer Nest journal thrives on its authors original views, insights and observations made about the world we live in. Our readers count on us to give them a fresh news on the research happening all around the world. Which is why originality is very important to us. We take plagiarism seriously and rigorously scan every submission to ensure it maintains the integrity of the journal and its promises. If your article, in any way, bears resemblance to another person’s work, then to us, that is plagiarism.
Here are a few pointers on plagiarism, that will not be tolerated by the journal under any circumstances:
  • Submitting another person’s work as your own, even a part of the work (like a paragraph or page)
  • Paraphrasing or summarizing someone else’s articles or manuscripts without citing the author and his book, article, manuscript etc.
  • Lifting content off of the internet and not citing its sources
  • Collaborating with other writers and not citing them as co-authors or contributors in the submitted work
  • Self-plagiarism (resubmitting previously rejected or reviewed work) is also not allowed
The board treats plagiarism cases subjectively, looking at the severity of the case and then passing judgements and arriving to decisions. For students who may have unknowingly plagiarised, they may get another chance at revising their article and resubmitting it for review. However, for severe cases of plagiarism, the article is rejected and the author may also be blacklisted by the journal, not accepting any of his work in the future.
